A real name. A real trail of notes. Your turn.

You've watched the trail walk itself. Now launch your own practice machine with a private, made-up web name to explore, and follow the trail yourself. Each note is a scrambled signpost to the next, and one step hides a fake note to throw you off. The flashcards on the right are a warm-up; the quiz checks you can spot the pattern under pressure.

You'll get your own private machine with two simple tools — dig to read a name's notes and base64 to unscramble them — plus a made-up web name, acme.test, set up just for you. Follow the trail of notes from the start, step around the fake note partway through, and submit the prize at the end. The machine shuts itself off after 60 idle minutes.
